About us

This story began with the meeting of Blake, an English-speaking Canadian, the cook who always has his head in his oven, and Delphine, the tall blonde who greets you at the bar when she too doesn't have her head in the oven.

This story is above all a love story between 2 people, a life project: working side by side, reconnecting with nature and taking advantage of what it has to offer, planting, harvesting, renovating. It's also a love story of an inheritance, the farmhouse belonging to Delphine's grandparents.

It's also a love story of eating and drinking well.

Together, we imagined a small farm that would provide us with enough to live on, but also to provide a place to live for locals, tourists and people passing through.

The idea of the guinguette was born... with a desire to do as much as possible ourselves, so the hard work began and today we offer pizzas cooked over a wood fire in an earth oven we built ourselves, beers brewed by Blake. and lots of vegetables grown by us. We also had to find everything we didn't produce, and of course we had to find local producers to supply us with fresh produce and as much organic produce as possible. It was then that we realized that the Pays de Caux was full of wonderful people who really wanted to revive this long-abandoned countryside.

In July 2023, our dream became reality.

This chapter of our lives is filled with hope, promise and pitfalls (let's face it), but also with smiles, thanks and exchanges that promise us a happy future and the establishment of a new community. The air is filled with the scent of blossoming trees and oven smoke, creating a welcoming atmosphere where loved ones can gather to share meals, stories and create new memories - our goal is achieved.

The Farm

The idea was really to develop the farm and then bring in the guinguette. Today, we have a 400m2 vegetable garden, a greenhouse for tomatoes, peppers and other herbs, an aromatic garden, berries, asparagus, squash and perennials on our swales, where we have also planted over 350 trees in the last 3 years to recreate hedges. Every year, we also enhance our orchard with apple, pear, plum, cherry, apricot, fig, sea buckthorn and medlar trees...

Our animals are part of our daily routine. We have sheep, chickens, ducks and Rox, our dog, who you're sure to come across at the guinguette. You can also buy our eggs at the guinguette.

The farmhouse is over 100 years old and hasn't been used since the 70s. Left to its own devices for several years, it's in need of renovation, but we're working tirelessly to bring this beautiful farm back to its former glory.

The hangar next to the guinguette is our first major project. It will be refurbished to accommodate a part of the interior to welcome you and a part where the brasserie will be installed.

The Beer

In our nano-brasserie, Blake brilliantly blends the art of American-style brewing with the elegance of French ingredients, creating unique beers that are served exclusively at the guinguette.

We're proud to have built the brewery ourselves, emphasizing respect for the environment in every aspect of our business. Our kettle, a wood-burning stove, not only adds a distinctive character to our beers, but is also part of our commitment to sustainable development, using only tree trimmings from our property. Each brew reflects the seasons and invites you to discover a beer that tells a story, one sip at a time.

The Pizza

At the Guinguette, we're proud to handcraft our finest Neapolitan-style pizza, using only the finest organic Normandy flour (Biocer).

Every ingredient is carefully selected, with an emphasis on local and/or organic produce and fresh vegetables sourced directly from our garden and small local organic farms (Le jardin des Falaises and the Quatre Jingai farm, Les jardins de l'Hermitine). Our dough undergoes a slow fermentation process for at least three days, allowing the flavors and structure to fully develop. The culmination of our efforts takes place in our handcrafted wood-fired oven, built from the earth of our own property. This traditional baking method lends a unique flavor and texture to our pizzas. Our pizzas are shaped by hand and baked to order.
